Academic Large Concert Orchestra of the RSMC

           The orchestra was founded in 1945, the first art-adviser 1945 - 1952 year was V.N. Knushevitsky . The long-term activity 1958 - 1983 of the chief conductor Y.V. Silantiev  has brought a broad popularity to the collective. Just these years the orchestra was put forward in number of leading domestic variety collectives, and was the immutable participant of international modern songs competitions. In 1983 - 1988 the collective was headed by A.A. Petukhov.
Since 1988 the art-adviser and chief conductor is the People's Artist of the USSR, composer M.M. Kazhlayev.
Nowadays the collective performs, both in a variety genre, and in academic genres, having considerably broadened its repertoire by popular works of the world musical classics (symphonies of Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and many other composers).
