Academic Choir of Russian Songs of the RSMC

           The academic choir of Russian songs was founded in 1945. Its first art-adviser was the well-known singer O.V. Kovaleva. In 1949 - 1954 years the collective was headed by the folklorist A.V. Rudneva.
Since 1954 the art-adviser and chief conductor is the People's Artist of the USSR, professor, composer N.V. Kutuzov.
           The repertoire of collective includes a broad layer of folk music - songs of different areas of Russia, works of the modern composers in a folk style. The choir's concert programs are distinguished by bright colourfulness, dynamism, combination of solo, ensemble vocal and dancing items. The choir has brought up a remarkable galaxy of the folk songs performers: E. Semionkina, A. Frolova, L. Zykina, A. Lapteva, A. Litvinenko.
           The choir includes Solists Chamber Orchestra of Russian national instruments "The Feenist - balalayka"
