  SERGEY POLITIKOV
People's Artist of Russia Sergey Politikov heads the Symphonic orchestra of Russian state musical center of TV and broadcasting, created in February, 1998.
Sergey Politikov demonstrated love to music when he was four years old - then the boy has taken an accordion in hands.... And then for many years sympathy was given up to the bassoon. After graduating from the Moscow conservatory the young charming musician was invited to concert performances and records of leading musical collectives of Russia. The career of a bassoon player develops most advantageously - however in three years Sergey Politikov again came to study in the Moscow conservatory. He comprehended skill of opera-symphonic conducting under the direction of the glorified master, professor Boris Haikin, and in one year, after a death of the master, continued studies in the class of the professor Dmitry Kitaenko, whom up to this day Sergey considers not only a teacher, but also a friend.
The years of study have remained behind. Sergey Politikov worked in the Kremlin orchestra, he went on tour in Mexico - there he conducted a National symphonic orchestra; he gave concerts in Moscow and other Russian cities. In 1990 Sergey Politikov came to the Bolshoi theatre; in his repertoir - opera "The Tsar's fiancee", " Seville barber ", ballet performances: "Makbet", "Arriving of a cavalry", "Ruslan and Ludmila".
Sergey Politikov likes very much to work with an orchestra in studio; he has a lot of records on an All-Union radio, he writes music to films and theatrical stagements, the compact discs with records of ?.Borodin, A.Dvorjik works...
In 1996 Sergey Politikov became the Main editor of Main edition of a musical wireless "Radio-1" and simultaneously headed the newly created Symphonic orchestra "Radio-1". The difficulties of formation and growth of collective were overcome and the creative life of the orchestra began. In one year the successful performances in Italy were held, but in December, 1997 "Radio-1" was disbanded. However through two months, in February, 1998, the Symphonic orchestra, similar fantastic Feniks, has revived, now - within the framework of Russian state musical center of TV and broadcasting. And again in the head of collective was his artistic adviser and main conductor Sergey Politikov.
Perhaps, it is possible to say, that by his nature Sergey Politikov first of all is enlightener. So, for example, at the end of the 80-th years, despite of very large employment as the conductor, Sergey Ivanovich has prepared and conducted in Children's edition of the All-Union radio a cycle of musical-educational transmissions "Steps to music", where has told to the young audience about history of the symphonic orchestra, about all it instruments, about musical genres and forms. The records of these transmissions are stored in the gold fund of the radio. The same tendency to enlightenment has generated an old dream of Sergey Politikov - to acquaint us, students living at the end of the XX century, with works of the Russian composers of "before classical" "before Glinka"epoch; because this music is a huge, hitherto unknown world, some kind of " a white spot " in musical culture.
Returning of masterpieces of Russian music to a concert platform and in our today's household activities (with the help of records on compact discs and the compact cassetes)- just in this the People's Artist of Russia Sergey Politikov sees the main problem of the orchestra, which he heads.
