Born in
Rostov-on-Don. Graduate of Rostov Art College and Moscow
State Art Institute named after Surikov (the last in
1968), where he studied from Dmitry Zhilinsky and Aleksey
Gritzay. Member
of the USSR Union of Artists. Lived and worked in Moscow.
Since 1969 had participated in Moscow and all-Union
exhibitions as painter and monumental artist; had some
experience as sculptor as well.
His one-man show was
mounted in Moscow in 1988: another one - in 1991 in
Frankfurt-on-Main (Germany).
Okorokov's artworks
make part of Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Museum of
Serpukhov, Art Museum of Izhevsk and private collections
in Russia, Germany, USA, Sweden. Czechoslovakia,
Bulgaria.
Died in 1992 in Moscow.
