"RAINBOW KEEPERS" AGAINST HI-SPEED RAILWAY MOSCOW - ST.PETERSBURG

"Rainbow Keepers" and some other environmental organization continue protest campaign against construction high speed railroad main line Moscow - St.Petersburg. February 29 auction of shares of Joint-Stock Company "HIGH SPEED RAILROADS" began.

March 5 the performance of "Rainbow Keepers" took place near the building of stock exchange. It was action of protest."Rainbow Keepers" put model of the hi-speed railway's train in front of the exchange entrance. "The train" "was eating" trees, plants, animals, swamps and taxes, and "was spiting" dirt and waste, dirty rivers end felled trees, dead animals and more poverty for poor people. (Because most part of means for construction will be alloted by state.) Few persons with slogan "Hi-speed railway is shady transaction with state guarantee" were standing in the middle of the road against the building. In the end the model of train was destroyed and trampled down by participants of action. Police arrested 6 persons, who were standing on the road. They were released in 4 hours. Action was showed on TV and media raised the problem of hi-speep railway again.
