"ELEPHANTS AGAINST HI-SPEED RAILWAY!"

March 31 the action of "RAINBOW KEEPERS" against construction high speed railroad main line Moscow - St.Petersburg took place in Moscow.

It was performance near main entrance of Municipal Zoological Gardens. We hung slogans "Moscow" and "St.Petersburg" on the fence of zoo and constructed the large "beast" from 5 people who run from one "city"Сto other one. He had disgusting face and slogan on his "skin": "I'm wicked perfidious high speed railroad!!!". There were a lot of wild "animals", "insects", "birds" around. They loudly cryed out: "We are afraid railroad!", "We hate railroad!", "We are against railroad!", "We like to live!". The terrible "beast" threatened, beat and pushed "animals" and other ones.

But the huge "elephant" appeared among "animals" (he was constructed from 7 people) and started moving to "the beast". "The elephant" stoped "beast", striped his "skin" and trampled down one. "The elephant" won victory over "the railroad's beast"!

This action was showed by Сseveral TV-programs yesterday. I'm sure many newspapes will write about action. WeСtry to attract attention to the Сproblem Сof construction high speed railroad time to time. Because the case considers by public prosecutor now. We have to press again and again as strongly as possible!

Protest campaign of "Rainbow Keepers" is being supported by Center for Wild Nature Conservation, Socio-Ecological Union and Center for Independent Ecological Projects. I hope we will be conquerors!!!
