Kungur kept its beauty
which is not easy for old little towns
that allow you to feel the atmosphere of
the 19th and even the 18th centuries.
The town got its name from the kungurka river where it was firstly built in 1648 . Scientists say that the name can be translated as "dark". To the end of the 18th century Kungur became the town of merchants; companies of wine, soap and leather developed very good.
