THE URAL AWARD. The URAL award is issued by radio sports section of Ekaterinburg and is available for all amateurs and swls for contacts with (or heard from) different amateur radio stations located in Ural mountains area of Russia after January 1st, 1957. Rules: 1. Applicants outside Russia using traditional modes (CW,SSB,AM,FM) on all HF bands (1.8 - 3.5 - 7 - 10 - 14 - 18 - 21 - 24 - 28 MHz), located in Europe and Asia should have 20 QSOs with the area. 2. Applicants operating under rule 1 conditions located outside Europe and Asia should have 10 QSOs with the area. 3. Applicants outside Russia using non-traditional modes (RTTY, SSTV, AMTOR, PSK31 etc.) or operating via satellites or operating on VHF bands (144 MHz and above) or operating mobile (/M,/MM,/AM,/S) should have 5 QSOs with the area. 4. Contacts with oblasts: Udmurt (UD) - RA-RZ4W, UA-UI4W; Cheliabinskaya (CB) - RA-RZ9A,B, UA-UI9A,B; Sverdlovskaya (SV) - RA-RZ9C,D, UA-UI9C,D; Permskaya (PM) - RA-RZ9F, UA-UI9F; Kurganskaya (KN) - RA-RZ9Q,R, UA-UI9Q,R; Orenburgskaya (OB) - RA-RZ9S,T, UA-UI9S,T; Bashkir (BA) - RA-RZ9W, UA-UI9W may be counted for Ural mountains area.
