WHILE OF ACTIVITY, OR, HOW TO GET MORE TIME
1. INTRODUCTION:
'WE LIKE, WHEN THEY CALM US... '
The brevity of life causes and creates pain, thoughts,
art, passions and
in general the actual human life itself. And
a serious researcher of
mankind existence may say that this point is
a pivotal place of making a
balance between evil and good. G.W.Leibniz, for
example, would say again
something about the most optimal solution of
the time-problem occurring
among all solutions, that are possible here,
in terrestrial fragment of
being.
We like, when they calm us. Nevertheless we keep
worrying. And again
nothing wrong in our wrongness. Temporality goes
on inflicting injuries
to us.
2.A HUNGRY DOG AND DEHYDRATED COCKROACH
But one may only in vain be aggrieved by the infringement
of imaginative
rights that he plaintively ascribes to himself.
This mental experience
has a tendency of becoming a justification of
all our passivity. He who
is too mournful may be suspected whether in gilt
of an idleness or in
sin of Babbittry or even in crime of animalizing.
Every period of human biological evolution is
as evaluated?? and
weighted in laboratories as were available the
different material
remainings. Another thing happened with evolution
of human? mental
experiences? and specially with sensation of
time. And again we must
accentuate the bifurcation of this notion of
“dur?e”(as H.Bergson used
to call the feeling of passing of life), because?
everybody knows that
there is biological watch? and psychological
time, and the connection
between them is evident.
To this rich set of senses we have but to add
the quality of a time as
experienced by ‘becoming individual’ (‘das werdende
Individuum’).
A hungry dog? or dehydrated? cockroach is not
deprived sensation of “too slow time”. Animals
also instinctively use the own biological timers
living through coherent alternation of “light-darkness”,
or, of
reproduction periods. But nobody among them is
able to think about
thinking of time and thus to feel its quality,
which therefore we may
name as the actually human or, of the time of
unique human evolving to
the higher degree of freedom. The latter, by
the way, is felt again
mainly as possibility of managing personal and
social time. In the
definite sense time has for us priority before
space. We priorly must
have place in “space of time” to situate ourselves
in “space of space”.
The time of humans as individuals may be that
of quality borrowed from
our high experiences (but in some another —and
modern—sense, than by A. Maslow ). It may
be for us in general only as something always
contaminated, or, better to say, transfused by
our special and unique
sensation of beauty or ugliness and, evidently,
of all possible grades
of both between two these extrema).
3. THE KINDS OF TIME
Naturally we have one wholly different time appearing
to be extremely
social. And we may call it the “ticking” time,
on which depends our
outside relations, our ‘public life’, carrier,
comings ‘not-too-late and
not-too-soon’. In one word, the whole externality.
How may we define the quotient of “friendliness”
for the both times?
Which of them annoys our kind with hellish constancy?
Who is sure that
he is not its slave in some intimate sense?..
This time is social in principle. Without it
the society is absolutely
unthinkable. All its ingredients, including such
parcels as statuses of
being befriended with somebody, are in this case
vanishing for a while.
Our task is to evaluate these two kind of time—that
of humans as
individuals (T1) and that of them as socialized(T2)—from
point of view,
which must have one, searching the resources
to? open for the new
cultural need of modern mankind. And, though
that sounds pompously
enough, yet the end of searching cannot be imagined
as a too modest one.
So let continue the discourse as it is, because
of absence of better
instantly visible way.
4.THE REALITY OF "TICKING TIME"?
I assume that external social time T2 represents
an area, where we
cannot to do too much seeking the above mentioned
resources. This time
is commonly known else as a “real time”, as if
the T1 is unreal, though
everyone can to assure himself that exists a
straight opposite
situation, the occurring of which is inevitable
for everybody taking our
position. The reality of ‘ticking time’ is such
as that of human mental
experience. We cannot exclude the temporal parameter
from this
phenomenon. The sensation of a long, or a short
portion of life—and that is obvious—is in itself
real.
To clear further the situation with saving more
time we must agree that
almost everything possible in this direction
is made by the so-called
scientific organization of work. So for us there
is only one single path
to go and it is running now before us, abruptly
meandering together with
our argumentation. Still our course remains steady.
All searches of daily time supplement despairingly
mono-linear, just
like as social (and external) time T2. It has
no possibility to become
‘broader’ and remains helplessly thin and unfertile.
Here there is no
place to find suitable potency? and to bring
about a needed result.
The reader surely is not far from conjeture about
multi-linearity of
experienced sensation of “individual” time T1.
Yes, the capability of
that time is really large. It may contain in
its below-described
fragment a practically boundless world of feelings
and sensations.
5.THE REAL HOUR IN ANCIENT GREECE AND TODAY
That doubtlessly durable time consists of non-durable
portions. Each of
them is suspended for a human, which is, for
example, just happy, fallen
in love or charmed by the favorable sonnet of
Shakespeare.
Such fragment are characteristic not only by
the lost of sensation of
time as a T2 albeit one reminds to himself about
existence of the latter
but also by the presence of specific energy.
Sometimes the quantity of
this energy may be so great that this energy
in one’s sensation
transforms into also big number of potentialities,
the impression of which often transfigures into
phenomenon of “broaden
and further broadening time”. Then someone is
as if living inside a
“stopped while” that has a unique property to
cause the changes of the
volumes of time fragments—for his sensations.
Yet this subjectively individual time —T1—has
and purely physical
content, if... That “if” is not too big, because
of that obvious too
often and too easy forgettable fact of only conditional
existence. In
some sense the real time, then, is not...real,
and its social
applications and approaches of its using maintains
the myth about it.
The real hour in Ancient Greece, or in Ancient
China was different in
relation of each to other, as it is different,
strictly evaluating, on
all dials of the best clocks and watches and
in relation to its, real
time’s, standard as well (the last modification
of which happens again
and once more to be not last). Such relativity
is not profitable for our
mentality, is it?
?
6.TO THINK OTHER-WISELY!
Whether have we right for improving our own point
of view to receive
full mental comfort and calmness? Possibly it
is better to emphasize the
all-realizable physic of ‘individual time’, trying
to have mental
steadiness?
We propose to think other-wisely.
The nature of T1 is, as we stated above, multi-linear.
Instead of one thin timeline at our disposition
appears the blessing
thick sprout of ‘living life’.
Instead of annoying queue of hours, minutes and
seconds we option an
energized while of activity, which is able to
last parallel with others
whiles, giving to its host a refresh and relax,
originated in the
constant changing, diversifying his mental works
and tensions.
While of activity may last independently on the
‘pixels’ of T2. And we
may last by means of several main and myriad
secondary but finest and
important aspirations as really having few across-existing
lives. These
latter, being settled in successive order and
therefore transformed into
a straight line, equal to a very unusual longevity
and huge ‘space in
time’ between terminus a quo and terminus ad
quem.
It remains to clear what activity is preferable
for creation? of such
kind of o “long existence during a short life”.
There is no doubt about
re-structuralization of above already expressively
enough mentioned
actually total ‘relativity of evaluations of
time’.
7. CONCLUSIONS:
MEANINGS AS EXPERIENCED BEAUTY
This is deeply humane procedure, to return to
the priority of meanings
as experienced beauty. This is re-discovery of
individual in every
separately taken case, to choose or prefer for
him such activity, which
at first is a live generator of luminous ‘whiles
of (appropriate)
activity’.
It is all practically achievable by means of
thorough re-aggregation of
mental attitudes.
Nowadays there is somewhat ‘in the air’, whispering
us about more
preferable ways of thinking that is relevant
to search of more humanity
in humans and especially humans with, by and
even ‘in’ computer.
“The crazy hammer” is? nothing in comparison
with a “mad PC’ that rules
in human’s internal country? more intensively
than his own essence.
The question of “how to get more time”, thus,
becomes a central question
of modus vivendi because of acute necessity of
choosing ‘higher‘ content
of life.
Too much of non-controlled simultaneity in mentality
and self-conducting
of modern human must and can be lessened by him
and not personally by
God. Requirements of that are today evident for
many of us.? Appears a
barrier of being afraid of ‘unnaturalness’, even
bothers the reverence
shown to ancestors,
when somebody tries our future’s hand.
The mankind is living in mass under the line
of optimal mental tension.
And evidently one of the causes of that is traditional
linear existence
with its successive changing of activity, fulfilled—
and falsely
imagined before— during a lapse of time, pseudo-continuously
and
pseudo-coherently lived in space of greatly diminished
reality of our
intimate essential.
Multi-linearity that, by the way, is and continuing
to be tested as a
specifically modern way of life by many and many
thousands volunteers,
seems to sure order in some important parts of
the our chaotic
modernity.
But the sensations of reality live only during
a moment, when one
achieves the next queued insight. For us are
waiting a principally new
years, contents of which will be studied, may
be, as the physical
phenomenon that we call now “the energy of actually
human time”.
