YMI courses are open to anyone, regardless of nationality, age or background.
Course levels
Elementary 1
For beginners without any previous knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz
Elementary 2
For persons who have a basic knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz
Elementary 3
For persons who have somewhat more profound knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz, as after having studied with Elementary 2.
Intermediate
For participants with sound basic knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz who are familiar with basic grammar.
Advanced
For teachers of Russian Language and others people with (very) good knowledge of Russian.
Teaching Methods
Working in small groups of mixed nationalities, you will experience a variety of teaching methods, in which cognitive, communicative, spontaneous and creative elements are combined. This ever increasing number of participants and the large percentage of students whose return is a proof of our teaching methods.
All the teachers are of Russian and Kyrgyz mother tongue, highly qualified and with wide experience in teaching Russian/Kyrgyz to young and adult students. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in teaching Russian and Kyrgyz as a foreign language and in working with adults. Many of them have been involved in the development of the teaching methods now used as standard.

Leisure Programme
We organize a wide-ranging leisure programme which will give you understanding of life in Kyrgyzstan and Russia, because we would like you to get more than a tourist's view of CIS. We run on a regular basis:
On successful completion of the course, student wishing to proceed to university can be given credit points towards a degree. The credit given varies between universities. YMI staff will assist students with their university enrolment.
YMI has agreements with most Colleges, Universities, Institutes and Academies of Kyrgyz Republic and YMI Certificates are recognized by these institutions.
Students applying to study at YMI on a student visa should forward all the necessary fees as well as the completed application form to the YMI. Once these have been received a Confirmation of Enrolment form will be send to the student. This form should then be lodged at the Kyrgyz Embassy in the student's country. The student should then wait for a visa to be granted.
Payment Policy
The course registration fee and a minimum deposit of four weeks tuition are required with the registration form.
Full payment for the courses is required prior to commencement of classes or can be discuss personally with Admission Director.

Students who wish to postpone the start date of their course may do so provided they inform YMI Ltd. in writing one month prior to the original start day.

We advise all students to take out full medical and personal insurance cover prior to departure.
Airport reception
Airport reception is optional, but strongly recommended. Please complete this form and return it as soon as possible, at least 1 week in advance. We must know exactly when you will arrive. Please include the $ 30 Airport Reception Fee when you pay your other fees. Airport Reception Fee is not refundable if the service is not cancelled 48 hours in advance.

Financial assistance and scholarships may be available to qualified candidates from developing countries who can demonstrate their need for such assistance. Every year YMI provide financial support for students from developing countries on the basis of their merit and letter of motivation for this assistance.
