12/15/2000. The brief description of JTV 3.0 is added, which basis is the appropriate text from JTVrus site. The description is intended, mainly for non-russian audience, as it seems that any similar english information in the Net, is not present.

JTVRemote driver of console for TV-card WinFast TV2000 from Leadtek Research Inc. added. This driver was created in summer and layed on the disk, as I has not got any information about his fitness from the author of the codes table of the console . But may be somebody needs it. Who will check up - write to me. By the picture on the site, the card is very similar to AVer TVPhone 98 w/VCR.

Some links and files are added, including (in relation with obvious interest of the non-russian users) translation on English FAQ for JTV from a site JTVrus. Is a little bit supplemented the archive with JTV 3.0 wip 12.6, in particular, is extended the Italian layout for teletexts (from frac@unisannio.it) and the explanation for localization JTVRemote is entered.
However there is an impression, that, except for as in Russia, JTV is not supported anywhere...

10/28/2000. I am usually did not listen to radio when working on the computer and considered that I do not want. Has appeared, that I simply did not like any of the programs, intended for it, which I tried. But now I have tried

Radiator of the Czech author (Miroslav Flesko) and my opinion has varied. Very good and accurately made program. Supports many languages and can be easily translated on anyone others. Is well customized for operation with remote-control consoles, in particular with JTVRemote. The unique disadvantage, is limited (while) support of TV-cards on the controller bT878.

Some references and files are added, the archive with JTV 3.0 wip 12.6 is a little bit corrected.

10/11/2000. In connection with that in conferences continue to come across questions on the problem of "brush" in TV-cards, it seemed to me useful to publish most informative (on my sight) note "'Brush' in TV tuners" (Russian) about essence of this problem, taken from the same name subject conference which passed in the beginning of 2000 on iXBT Hardware Forum in section "Multimedia".

The couple answers on questions retated with JTV 3.0 wip 12.6 is added, those I saw in conferences and which I have decide itself (Notes page).

10/10/2000. One more variant of the remote driver for TV-card PixelView PV-BT878P+ (LG : PAL-DK+BG) is developed. Sharply differs within the table of codes of the remote console from the similar driver released earlier. The driver corresponds to the specification JTVRemote v1.2. Source is applied. Author of the table of codes and tester of the driver (JTV3wip12.6, Win98) - Andrew.

As follows from the information obtained from author of the table and on page PixelView Play TV PAK, probably, as a matter of fact it meansTV-card PixelView Play TV PAK - (Model: PV-BT878P + REV 4E), whereas the previous driver (from 05/04) corresponded to card PixelView Play TV pro - (Model: PV-BT878P + REV 4C).

Request to the JTV users! It seems, it is necessary to arrange and make more informative base of customizations of the program. On site JTVHost it is the file jtvcardlib.zip, and on JTVRus - file changed.zip. In this connection, please, download the instructions file, add additional info and send on the site address the files (crd, tun and dll - remote driver), which everyone uses with the TV-card. I think, will win all.

10/08/2000. Added reconfigured and supplemented version of JTV 3.0 wip12.6, based on Russian version (04/09/2000) from site JTVrus. The attempt is made to join Russian and original versions, saving advantages of each of them. The package is not customized on any concrete TV card, but is configured for installation under any of known, including the procedure of correct connection of the remote console unit. The localization into any language and switching on it is possible. Is checked out under Win98.

09/03/2000. There is updated drivers for PV-951 series TV-cards, author - Minaichenkov Kirill. Quote: "My tuner - Acorp 3Demon, while Nickolay have MediaForte PV-951. Basically they are two identical cards. In readme to the first version of the driver author did not guarantee its service capability with other cards. It was right! The driver was not work with my card. After code rebuilding I " have added support " of the Acorp card and a little interesting features also. In brackets I put this phrase that is possible also of any other card, and the word support is very loudly told, as 2 lines there are modified. I think, that this version of the driver will work on a tuner PV951 of any corporation. But, as is spoken, on 100 % I do not guarantee."

08/26/2000. There is new drivers for TV-card MediaForte TV Vision (PV-951) , authors - Andrew Moroz and Nickolay Zelenkov. Quote: "... If owners of PV-951 had to turn on sound by the separate program before, in the given version is realized automatic turning on/off sound at JTV start. It is necessary only that JTVRemote was loaded." If I have understood correctly, in this version of drivers is realized both distance control, and handle of a sound in JTV. Compatibility with other cards of PV-951 series - under a question. Who will check up - write.

07/28/2000. The note "World Ready Software: Possible variants and released solutions" is published. It is made the attempt of more detailed classification of programs localization ways, in comparison with gated in earlier. The concrete examples are considered and their advantages and disadvantages are indicated. The purpose of a note - to attract notice of the programmers and to promote framing of some informal standard of localization, directed on rise of comfort by operation with programs on national languages. The given theme, at support and interest of Internet - community, quite can become a basis of the large project. Currently in Russian, will be translated later :-(

It is obtained (at 26.07.2000) and updated the author's localization kit for BTRemote 2000 v1.8. This site's distributive package updated accordingly.

07/23/2000. July is full of new programs versions, introduced on this site.

In the next version

BTRemote 2000 v1.8 the list of the macroses is extended and the OSD mode is entered. It is pleasant, that the author listens to wishes of the users. In particular, in one of the new macroses the volume level adjustment, and not only common, but also for each device of mixer control unit separately, is realized. Among other useful commands it is possible to mark possibility of task switching and windows opening. As before, for creation of DLL-modules for national languages it is possible to use one of localization packages (workspace) under VC ++ 6.0 for English (is included in the kit of the program on this site) or Russian languages. The easy disappointment calls only reluctance of the author to enter into the distribution kit on his site the package for localization and Russian language module.

Two times has been refreshed

Windows Commander and IrfanView32. Current versions, accordingly, 4.51 and 3.21. As a result of mailing with the IrfanView author, caused by error in the version 3.20, he promised (at last!) to pay attention to introduction of the multilingual interface to the program.

Because of free place abcense on site jtvhost.chat.ru, the previous versions of these and other updated programs will be left only on mirror jtvhost.webjump.com.

07/01/2000. In new version of the program

BTRemote 2000 v1.7 from Polish author Jakub Koralczyk, the function of language autodetection is entered, when startup. The button of the interface language choice from within program is added, too. Any number of languages is supported, for creation of which DLL-units it is possible to use one of packages (workspace) under VC ++ 6.0 for English (added in the package of the program) or Russian languages.

06/24/2000. New arrivals:

BTRemote 2000 v1.6 The program from page of the Polish author (Jakub Koralczyk), permitting to control objects Windows 9x (applications, files, folders, documents etc.) with the help of remote-control console from a TV cards package, or as is announced, through other devices, for example COM-ports. Supports English, Polish and Russian (itself translated!) languages. Allows, rather easily, to translate the interface on any other language. For creation of the appropriate language DLL-file it is possible to use one of packages (workspace) under VC ++ 6.0 for the English or Russian languages. There is a wizard of an automatic tuning of TV card (truth, mine TVPhone98 w/VCR has not identified) and manual adjustment, built-in macroses. It is remarkable, that the drivers of remotes from JTV 3.0 can be used! At any rate that formed within the project JTVRemote suit precisely.
Certainly, there are also disadvantages (and where them are not present?), but the program deserves notice. Suggestions and remarks send, in English, to author.

06/11/2000. New version of bTV - v.2.52 - added. As against v.2.1, support of the greater number of different video-cards, among other things, is similar provided. In particular, it was possible to start this new version on Diamond Stealth II S220, which has UYVY-code for DirectDraw Overlay mode. The writer, by the way, maintains (in Help), that the program will work only with video-cards having YUY2, YUYV and YUNV-codes.

06/01/2000. Driver of the remote console for TV-card FlyVideo 98 (Temic PAL DK), designed and checked by Andrew Samusev, sandys@rbc.ru, that agreed with the project JTVRemote, is added. In this relation, the files of libraries are refreshed for customizations, consoles codes and JTVrus 12.5 wholly.

Besides, corrected file JTV.EXE is separately laid out for the Russian version JTV 12.5, - from site JTVrus, - permitting to correctly complete switched on option "Change display resolution for full-screen mode" on the panel "Display options" of the configurator JTV (JTVconfigure.exe) . Similar correction for JTV 12.6 is present on JTVrus site.

The reference on page of Sergey Klembotsky, where the questions of usage FlyVideo 98 TV-card under W2K with WDM are considered, is added.

04/20/2000. Checked out the driver of the console for TV-card PixelView Play TV Pro 878+FM. Oleg Kostiuchenko, oleg@ps.kiev.ua has written: "I has tested it, all works superb! Huge thanks!" Updated corresponded driver library for JTV.

04/05/2000. The retrieved error in the driver of the console is corrected for TV-card PixelView Play TV Pro 878+FM . Now, probably, will earn. For simplification of errors detection in a package of this driver the test version of the driver is added, it writes in LOG the additional information. The response in a note about solution of a unstable operation problem of the remote console for cards AverMedia TVPhone/Capture98 w/VCR is added.

03/30/2000. It is added note by Nikolay Zelenkov about possibilities of inclusion of a sound in JTV (bTV, Fly98) for tuners MediaForte TV Vision PV951 and ProVideo (Acorp 3DeMon) PV951 , and also my addition for a tuner Tekram M-205 . If you have reasons on it and any other questions coupled to application alternate TV-software, it is not necessary JTV only, write. You with pleasure esteem.

03/28/2000. The optimized variant of the remote console driver is added for TV-card PixelView Play TV Pro 878+FM. JTVRemote project files are refreshed. There is also added banner-buttons for this site linking.

03/16/2000. The optimized variant of the remote console driver is added for TV-card Genius Video Wonder Pro II V2/FM. It is fulfilled under the guidelines of the specification JTVRemote v1.2 and checked out under Windows 98. The source is applied. Apparently, it is suit also for cards of a FlyVideo II/98 type. Site design is corrected. JTVRemote project files are refreshed. There is also added new and modified variants of the programs for reading-writing Bt8x8 controller registers.

03/02/2000. The design of the site is a little bit modified, some files are refreshed. One of possible solutions is offered to solve the problem of instability of remote operation for remote console of cards AverMedia TVPhone/Capture98 w/VCR . Probably, will approach for other TV-cards.

02/28/2000. It is huge enthusiasm for ratings or shortcuts on everything. I have not avoided it and has decided to think up something too. Also has thought up.

Any of you for certain collided with a situation, when the interesting program came across, but by virtue of a language barrier all its advantages were unavailable or hardly available for you. If the English language, on which the majority of programs is written, is for you the native or second language, you collided with it less often, differently - more often.
But all the same, it would be very good, that the programs initially formed multilingual, or with possibility it is easy to translate their interface and system of the help into any language. Is pleasant to mark, that such programs (and their writers) exist.
I have decided to found, enough approximately, signs "World Ready" and assign them to programs on my site, which authors care of all, who does not understand their language.:-)) So:

The 1-st degree is assigned to programs, which language units stored separately, in text files, which creation is under force to an advanced user with any text editor. The choice of the language is possible from within programs through menu. Example - Windows Commander 4.03.

The 2-nd degree is assigned to programs, which language units also are stored separately, in text files, which creation is under force to an advanced user. But choice of the language from within programs is impossible and the hand-held editing of configuration files of the program is required . Example -

The 3-rd degree is assigned to programs, which language units are stored separately, in non-text (DLL) files, which creation is under force only to programmer. The choice of the language is possible from within programs through menu. Example - BTRemote 2000 v1.7.

The 4-th degree is assigned to programs, which language units are also stored separately, in non-text (DLL) files, which creation is under force only to programmer. But choice of the language from within programs is impossible and the hand-held re-setup or configuration of language modules is required. Example - GetRight v4.1.x

This, without degree, sign relates to programs, which different language interface is strongly developed and supported by its authors. Example - TheBat! v1.4.x.
The signs are not applied to programs, which localization needs their complete or partial author re-processing, or there are no ready templates for localization by the other programmers or advanced users.

02/27/2000. The archives are refreshed, some programs, files and links are added, its allocation is ordered.

02/16/2000. The specification of the project JTVRemote is corrected and supplemented. On the basis of current version (1.2), with the help of Dmitry, made advanced drivers for cards AverMedia: TVPhone/Capture and TVPhone/Capture98 w/VCR. It has turned out very much, not bad. The adjustability of delays at keys operation of the remote unit is realized. Recommended.

In link with it, almost all other files of the Project were refreshed.

02/13/2000. It is offered to notice of JTV-community, mainly to developers, the first variant of the common specification of the project JTVRemote , which is recommended to be followed at development of drivers for JTV remote units. It is necessary to mark, that the part of the guidelines is already used in the Russian version JTV. All guidelines are directed on rise of convenience of use by the unit. Send your remarks and sentences.

02/12/2000. Well, I have downloaded and has tried to look at JTV 3.0 wip12.6. I can agree with the request of the Jaak: " This is totally unsupported release of JTV made available because of large public demand. !!! DO NOT DISTRIBUTE IT ON YOUR WEBSITES, PLEASE!!!! It generally doesn't work. And if it does, it's only by accident." I believe, it is not necessary to be tormented with this version, and to wait wip14.

Some JTVRemote files updated. The library of TV-cards adjustments - collection of those JTV files which vary and are supplemented by its users - is added.

02/08/2000. On sentence of the JTV writer, the English version of a site is almost ready and will be supported. As translation in main machine (PROMT 99), the illconditioned phrases are possible. I ask to be indulgent. I offer to the JTV admirers to use a forum of this site (or JTVrus) for more effective and purposeful information exchange on JTV.

02/05/2000. The design of a site is slightly modified. I do not know as others, and I frequently am on a site Tuner to esteem a forum. Frequently caught itself on thought what well to have its (forum) always under a hand. Therefore, with the help TeleportPro, has got archive tunerforum.zip which I spread for all wishing.

02/03/2000. The file averc98.zip is added, in which the status of development of the new driver under Aver TVCapture98 will be watched. If there is wishing to help by testing and advices - it will be perfect.

02/02/2000. During first day about 100 visitings is registered. It is pleasant. The truth is not known, that would be told to site address, as Forum I have opened only today. It is already arrived questions on, whether the driver from card XXX can be applyed for card YYY. I remind, what exactly with the purpose of creation, with common efforts, drivers of the console for any card, the project JTVRemote is opend. Take part!
