How can I learn Russian language via e-mail?
If you have Microsoft Word installed on your PC, we can write letter to one another using attached Word-documents.

If you have a sound card installed on you PC, we can talk to one another by attaching sound files to our letters.
If you have a fax-machine at home, simply send your Russian homework to me by fax. You may also send
it by e-mail. Although we live in different countries, and are separated by thousands of kilometers, you can learn Russian as if we were sitting in the same room.
If you have some software problems, then you may wish to use fax as means of communication.
This helps in situation when your software does not allow you to use
russian fonts or when you
have no russian keyboard. Anyway tiping in Russian without seeing russian letters on your keyboard
is very difficult. In this case you may simply write with a pen on a paper and send this message
to me by fax. Wonderful, isn't it?

How long have I to learn before I start understanding Russian?
All depends on you. Some people can start talking Russian after
4 months of learnig. Now they are able to understand and use in
their speech a lot of russian proverbs, common sentences fast
without dictionary.
As a rule it takes 8-12 months at the first level to start understanding russian speech.
After passing the first level you can enter the second. The Second level also takes 8-12 months
of learning. On graduating you will be able to visit Russia and to live there without help of
interpreter.
Is it possible to listen to russian songs? Can you correct my russian pronunciation?
Yes, during this russian course you will learn a lot of russian songs and proverbs, read russian fairy
tales, solve different puzzles etc... For correcting your russian pronunciation, learning russian words,
training your speech habits and developing your listening scills, you have to pass through a sery of
exercizes.

I don't believe that somebody can learn some foreign language
only via e-mail, without having direct contact with his teacher!
Why do you say "without having direct contact with teacher"? The electronic contact is contact too!
For example, one can attach sound files to his letter. At the same time you may both read and listen
to such letters. Of course, I won't send you the whole letter as a sound file (because I don't want to
force you to spend your time for long downloading. I appreciate your time and your money!). Only the most
important data such as examples of russian prononcion, dialogues, songs, intonational models, short
stories and dictations will be sent as voice-attachment.
The size of sound file is usually 300-800KB and it never exceeds 1MB. But there are some exception
from this rule. If you cannot (or may be don't want) to receive such large files , -- we can agree
upon needed filesizees.
In order to make communication to russian teacher more easy in use, you may use fax as a way of
sending your russian homeworks to teacher.
