Tragic return for Ronaldo, injured again...
After a four months injury Ronaldo came back on the field on Wednesday night in the Coppa Italia 1st leg final against Lazio. He replaced Adrian Mutu running the 13th minute of second half.
But it wasn't an happy return.
After few balls played, trying a dribbling in a solo action, the Brazilian forward fall down on the ground: the right knee, the cause of his last injury, didn't support the pace of the striker. A crying mask appeared on the face of Ronaldo.
After 7 minutes from his return, the player had to leave the field on a stretcher. Few minutes later at 'Olimpico' arrived an ambulance...
After a fast analysis of Inter medical staff it seems the trouble is again with the rotular tendon of right knee. Through phone Inter suddenly contacted the doctor Saillant, who operated in the same point Ronaldo last November "We are trying to speak with Saillant, to see how to proceed" said Sandro Sabatini, head press officer of Inter.
Ansa press agency reported that the player came back later in the dressing room: there he met Massimo Moratti, chairman of Inter, who tried to console Ronaldo with a long hug, with the Brazilian forward who continued to cry. The first idea was that to bring Ronaldo in France with a private plane this night, but Inter sources said the player will move to Milan tonight and other decisions will be taken just tomorrow.
