All began, when I have decided to make to myself a gift by New 2000 and has gained PC TV-card. At first it was PixelView Pro 878 + FM, it without problems has risen in the system Win98 and, due to the easily edited format of the configuration files of native software, has fast found (with my help) all TV channels. However quality of reception on the common antenna obviously did not arrange me, though the TV-set Sumsung caught perfectly. I suspected, that the tuner (LG Elecrtonics) of the card is guilty in this purely. And here just in the Moscow corporation Desten, where I bought card, has appeared AverMedia TVPhone98 w/VCR and I have decided to try it, as already esteemed the information in the Internet, and familiar about the previous models were recalled not bad.

Here also began... My home PC (Tekram TX-30B4, iP166MMX, 64MB, Diamond Stelth II, Fujitsu 8GB, SB16) has refused to boot in general. That is the system behaved as if the processor is not present at all, screen black, speaker dead. Has not helped anything, BIOS rewriting, swap of TV-card in other slots. It was necessary to do something, therefore I have replaced the system board with clone - ASUS TX-P4. All at once has earned. This time quality of reception (with Philips tuner) was without trouble, it is not worse than TV-set. Native software of card has earned without problems, however, at all its advantages inconvenient it any. And as I would like, first of all, comfortably to look the TV set, I began to search alternate TV software. The program has liked to me very much, with adjustments I have cleared up rather easily, however there was a problem with a remote control console: for my card there was no driver. I am system manager, instead of programmer, but have concepts about programming and can clear up with the simple code, however write the driver from zero to me not under force. I have tried already all existing drivers, but they did not work, and only refreshed driver for TVPhone (95) in archive aver95m2bf.zip has recovered almost all buttons of the console! But the codes of buttons did not coincide and not all of them worked. It was necessary to understand with a source and to ask of the help the author of the driver, therefore the project JTVRemote was born, for which implementation, among other things, this site is created and opened in January 31 2000.
