JTV 3.0 (12.6) : Tuners
Table of tuners Tuner selection Responses

Next time updating package JTV3w126, I found that is good idea not only to delete the counterparts of customizations files (that was earlier already is made), but also to arrange the names of these files, in particular of files of tuners. Therefore the new names of these files mirroring their contents are offered instead of condition of application, that resulted in ambiguity of understanding.
New files are included in a packages JTV3w126.zip, JTV3w126.exe and accessible separately, I think, that it will be convenient...

Table of tuners
The table of correspondence of the old and new names of tuners files (files with the extension .tun), used in JTV and additional information is resulted below which can be used at occurrence of problems. Send the information for filling the table, and necessarily specify the NEW name of the file of a tuner. The counterparts are welcomed, if you are ready to answer questions on customization of your TV-card (shure it in the letter). On everybody in JTV community depends, as far as this table will be useful.

The new name, for example, for Philips_SECAM2_DK according to the table: Philips_C2-A, and the file has the same name - Philips_C2-A.tun. The filename, as it follows from the given below table, is defined by its contents, that eliminates appearance of the counterparts. The names LG or Samsumg are not used, as its values 'Range', as far as I know, coincide with similar for Philips. If it not so, write. If you use customization, which are not reflected in the tables, inform, and the changes will be brought in.

Shortly, the interaction of the controller BT8x8 with the module of a radiotuner consists in the following. The parameters "Range" keep the identification of ranges of radiofrequencies in different modules of tuners. "I2CAddress" answers for switching and customization of telechannels. "Offset" sets a certain correction of customization depending on the standard of a teleannouncement. The parameters "Thresholds", probably, set a way of interpretation of results of customization, depending on a range of radiofrequencies, and it is necessary to tell about them especially.

Standard values of these parameters is their first pair in the table, appropriate to absence of an index "-A" in the name of the configuration file of a tuner. If the telechannels are placed in standard bars of radiofrequencies, as is described in a note, it is usual all of them are determined by autoscan and work normally. However, in Russia the situation is typical, when the local operators of a teleannouncement convert all or part of telechannels from a range UHF in a range VHF2 (between VHF1 and VHF3). In this case TV-card, though scans all frequency range, "does not see" telechannels in this band at standard values of parameters "Thresholds".

Probably, Threshold1=14025 defines frequency (140,25 MHz) up to which the range VHF1 "reaches". If the converted channel lays below than this frequency - it is tuned normally, is higher - is not tuned. The given supposition proves to be true by that the change of the parameter on Threshold1=16825, i.e. closely in the beginning of a range VHF3, allows a tuner to find all converted channels. Therefore, along with standard pair values, updated pair, appropriate to an index "-A" in the name of the file of a tuner is entered.

Selection of a tuner configuration for a TV-card
The problem of configure of a tuner arises for everyone, first time adjusting the TV-card in JTV, as even at the known manufacturer of the tuner module of a TV-card. If given in the beginning of a note the table will be enlarged gradually, this problem will lose the acuteness.

Generally, the following order of operations is recommended. If the manufacturer of the module of a radiotuner (shielded box on a TV-card) is precisely known, for example, Temic, the variant Temic_00-A is selected. In all other cases it is necessary to start with Philips_00-A. If it is known also the parameter I2CAddress, the technique of which definition is stated in a note, the choice becomes unambiguous. However even without it, usually one of existing variants of the configuration should approach. The correctness of selection comes to light during customization on telechannels and switchings between them. If all is customized and switches, the configuration means is selected correctly. Other variant of the configuration of a tuner is otherwise selected and the process repeats. As it is a lot of variants not so, it does not cause the large difficulties. Successes.
